The Aquarium is a duo featuring Jason Hutto on keyboards and vocals and Laura Harris on drums. Since their live debut in 2001 they have crafted a hypnotizing set of instrumental and vocal compositions often accompanied live by random movie clips culled from Jason's library collections.

Laura Harris grew up near the Appalachian Trail in Northern VA and currently lives in Washington D.C. In addition to performing with The Aquarium Laura also plays drums with Benjee Ferree (Domino Records) and is studying painting at the Corcoran School of Art. Jason Hutto came to the D.C. area from Arkansas and now lives in Arlington, VA. Jason played guitar in Motor Cycle Wars (Who's No. 1?) and likes old keyboards.

The Aquarium's overdriven electric piano, keyboard and drum combination sounds surprisingly full for a duo. Jason Caddell (Dismemberment Plan) recorded The Aquarium's debut at Inner Ear Studios in 3 days. Brendan Canty (Fugazi) mixed the album at his Trixie Studio in Washington D.C.
